OM67-25 Benjamin Glennie Diary, 1848-1860.

Two typed transcriptions of a diary, 36p and 58p, both covering the same date range. In the diary he records his parish work, first in Brisbane, but mostly during his Darling Downs period from 1851 to 1860. Some of the many centres in his charge and which are frequently mentioned include Warwick, Drayton, Canal Creek, (Leyburn), Toowomba, and the stations of Canning Downs, Talgai, Goomburra, Glengallon, Cambooya, Clifton, Maryland and Eton Vale.

Benjamin Glennie was one of the first Church of England Clergymen assigned to the Moreton Bay Colony. From 1848-1850 he was incumbent priest for Moreton Bay, 1850-1860 for the Darling Downs, and in charge of Warwick 1860-1872, Drayton 1872-1876, and Toowomba 1876-1877.
